As you all will know these are horrible times and the NHS is requiring as much support as is possible.
Much of our work at JNC derives from advising businesses on their health and safety and with the current lockdowns this is not possible as much of our work involves training and visits.
It is because of this that we have chosen to support the NHS and other Care Providers with free face fit testing.
Today we have been to Treliske hospital and St Julia’s Hospice. Our aim is to assist in protecting staff, so in turn they can help protect us.
Thank you to all NHS staff and those at St Julia’s Hospice for your laughs and giggles during what is a tough time. Together we can stay safe.

CORONAVIRUS (COVID19)
Business Response Update
As part of our commitment to our employees, delegates and clients and in line with the British Government announcement made on the 23rd March 2020, during these unprecedented times and in order for our employees to perform safely, JNC Safety Services Limited are restricting some of the services offered.
As a country we are entering into unknown territory and the situation is moving and changing rapidly. Each day is bringing different challenges to everyone and advice is changing quickly.
JNC Safety Services Limited - Restricted Services as at 24.03.2020:
Training
Due to the spread of COVID19 and current restrictions in place we have made the decision to pause all training during April 2020. We will, therefore, be making contact over the next 72 hours, for anyone currently booked on an upcoming course, to transfer your booking to a later date. Whilst this is exceptionally difficult and no doubt disappointing to some, we feel it is now right for this course of action and hope other providers will follow.
Site Inspections / Visits
As travel is now restricted to essential by the British Government we will not be attending general site inspections / visits until the restriction has been lifted. Obviously we appreciate the safety of our clients is paramount and we will be making contact to individual clients to discuss ways forward during this difficult time.
We will continue to monitor the situation and update accordingly.
Thankfully to date the health of our employees has not been directly affected by COVID19. In times like these we are reminded of what is important and the team at JNC would like to take this opportunity to send our best wishes to you and your families and assure you that we are here to provide any assistance you may need 24/7.

One of our clients is being subjected to Fee for Intervention* by the HSE for failing to manage vibration in the workplace and for risk assessments that have been deemed not ‘suitable and sufficient’ for the activities involved.
In reality, we suspect that all contractors have similar risk assessments and act in a similar manner, so the likelihood is that should the HSE visit their sites then they will also be subjected to the same punishment.
